Osage Tribe - Indian Census Rolls

Rolls prepared by Indian Agent office located in Pawhuska, OK

These census records are presented differently than others on this site: census entries for Pryor families have been grouped by family, meaning there is reasonable belief from the ages and names on earlier census records to determine relationship. Family Group 1 and 3 are related. Family Group 3 may be related to Group 1 in that the first name Antwine appears in both groups.

The Osage Allotment Act: oil reservers were discovered in 1894, the act was passed in 1906 stating "all persons listed on tribal rolls prior to January 1, 1906 or before July 1907 would be allocated a share of the reservation's subsurface natural resources regardless of blood quantum."
